ADC2 Judging Has Begun

The Android Developer's Challenge 2 has begun. The judging application is available for download on the market. If you're not familiar, the ADC is a contest sponsored by Google in which developers submit apps and games for Android. Apps are initially judged by users for a first round. Later, Google judges will be responsible for 60% of the score. The top 3 apps for any given category get a cash prize. An early version of one of my games, Light Racer 3D, is in this contest. Good luck to everyone who entered and thanks to Google for running it!

The judging app is simple enough to use. If you hit menu, you can skip to the next app. I've been browsing through the apps and I found a few things that I really like. There were a few games that I was fairly impressed with and several virtual instruments apps that are getting good. I especially liked the guitars. I was able to play a song fairly well with one, even.

ADC2 Judging AppADC2 Judging AppBecause I'm in the competition I think it would be unsportsman like to name names of other action games that I believe are better or worse but let's just say that there are some great entries out there and clearly a lot of time was put into many of these.

I wish I would have been able to get Light Racer 3D v1.1 into the competition but I guess I'm just lucky that I was able to get even v1.0 into it in the given time frame.

Best of luck to everyone!
