You omitted Senator Obama's voter registration drive in 1992 in which he registered more voters than anyone in recorded Illinois history, did so more cost-effectively and managed 700 people in the process.You also omitted the last almost 2 years of this Presidential campaign where Senator Obama has managed at least 2,500 employees and countless numbers of volunteers to out-perform, out-fundraise and out-organize every opponent to date.Again-- these are just facts.Otherwise, excellent.

Most important: Obama has served on the foreign relations and veterans affairs committees in the US Senate, and as both state & US senator has written and passed extensive legislation.

Great... except for one thing:Obama represented the 13th legislative district (Illinois state senate), not the 13th congressional district (US house of representatives). The population of Illinois is divided into 59 roughly equal districts, so Obama's would be a little over 200,000, still 1/3 the size of Alaska and far larger than the town of Wasilla.

If I hear one more racial comment about not voting for Obama because of my inner racial feelings, I am going to sit this one out and not vote at all. The fact that Senator Obama is our nominee on the democratic ticket proves that most Americans are not racist. Americans are simply partisan. The fact that Obama is leading in the polls over McCain reinforces the fact that we are now a mostly color-blind society. The only thing that can hurt Obama's chances is the idiots that can somehow make their way to national TV coverage and make some stupid statement about Obama needing to lead by 7-8 points on election day to take up for whites that will change their mind in the booth. I like Senator Obama and Senator McCain, probaby the best 2 opposing candidates for president in my lifetime, but I don't align with either politically. Ok so he was on a team that did what/ what did he do as a state senator? What did his word accomplish? As a state senator did he make a difference? As a us senator we know he hasn’t really done what he told his constituents he would do .he was to busy looking ahead. So we he lied to them to get where he is. He lied about many of his so called "associations" what else is he lying about? he has "changed" his view on numerous issue since his nomination. He has no history of any sort on making decision about anything that didn't benefit the underprivileged. it is like he is saying things to get the people that are to lazy to take care of themselves, which over 65% of the people don’t; even pay taxes, to vote for him. DO you really want the leader of the free world to be voted in by a bunch of first time voters who benefit from his socialistic stay in bed, big brother will make your decision for you agenda

Size of area means nothing. What did you do for that area. Palin had budgets to manage, met every morning about security as her state is 30 miles from Russia. Running a city or a state is a whole lot different than being a state legislator. Qualification: depending on state, be between 18 and 30, live in the district you want to represent for 3 to 6 mos. Almost anyone can be a state legislator. Obama hasn't managed anything, how is he going to manage our country. I hope we are not all really sorry.

All I can say is I am soooo glad a person who thinks that humans were here on the earth when dinosaurs were, and that is a creationist (a mindless one at that..) and who is as racist as the day is long, is NOT going to occupy the office of Vice President. By the way a friend of mine who's sister lives in Alaska said that the main drift of Palin among most of the folks Anchorage way and up in the Kenai is that she is actually using to the Republican party to forward her (and hubby Todd's) political leanings toward a secessionist philosophy. The leader of which has said he doesn't want anything more to do with the United States Government and believes it is doomed to 'hellfire and brimstone'... Oh yeah! I am SOOOO glad!!!
